Welcome to MSAD #15 Office of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment
Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment oversees and supports all aspects of teaching and learning Pre-K–12 in MSAD 15. The district implements the Maine Learning Results, including the Common Core State Standards, as the foundation of its curriculum. Work in curriculum, instruction, and assessment is ongoing to support the goals outlined in the MSAD 15 Strategic Plan.
Under the current strategic plan, the focus of curriculum, instruction, and assessment efforts is on updating Pre-K–12 practices through a whole-child, interdisciplinary lens. The MSAD 15 Board of Education has established processes for reviewing and approving curriculum, as well as selecting instructional materials and programs. Reports on this work are available on the Curriculum Committee page of the School Board website.
