Don’t have time to volunteer at events, join committees, or spend time in your child’s classroom? You’re not alone. With so many other commitments it’s hard to find the time we wish we could spend engaged in our children’s school. That’s why the PTO is introducing the Patriot Parents Community Campaign. 100% of your generous contribution goes directly into the schools and classrooms of Gray / New Gloucester.
No donation is too large or too small. If each family in the district could give just $7.50 per student we would reach our goal! Thank you for your continued support of the Patriot Parents PTO and our schools!
The Patriot Parents PTO is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to strengthen, enhance, and encourage the betterment of theeducational and social environment of ALL theschools in MSAD15. The PTO provides curricularenrichment opportunities and programs beyond the scope of the district’s annual budget.
Due to rising costs, some programs funded by the PTO are now in jeopardy. Here are just some of the programs we fund or support:
• Project Graduation • Sending every 4th grader to Bryant Pond • Purchasing microscopes in the Middle School • Allowing 2nd graders to have a behind the scenes experience at the Nutcracker • Hosting staff appreciation events • Providing quality playground equipment • Bringing authors and speakers into classrooms and schoolwide assemblies • Organizing book fairs to raise funds for our school libraries • Working with community leaders to provide the Backpack Program
The Patriot Parent Organization, and our Memorial School representatives, provide funding for many of our students’ most memorable early elementary school experiences. By funding educational field trips and bringing culturally enriching experiences to our school, the Patriot Parents help us to provide a well-rounded educational experience. – Amanda Hennessey, Principal, Memorial School
The work and dedication of the Patriot Parents at Russell School benefit students, staff and families alike. Events like the Book Fair, family fun nights, and school wide STEM activities, to name a few, help to support students’ social and academic growth and help to strengthen our sense of school community. They regularly provide opportunities our students may not have otherwise. As a teacher it is a pleasure to work in partnership with the Patriot Parents! – Jill Anketell, Teacher, Russell School
The Patriot Parents at Dunn School fund many great experiential learning opportunities for our students, including two days of rock wall climbing and an overnight trip for all 4th grade students at the Bryant Pond 4H Cooperative Extension. These programs provide students wonderful learning experiences outside the classroom that are challenging and engaging. Without the Patriot Parents PTO generosity and dedication these programs would not be possible. – Geoff Robbins, Principal, Dunn School
