The Gray-New Gloucester High School Social Studies Department
Social Studies is more than just history. It is a complex, interdisciplinary study of humans, human behaviors, and society. The Social Studies Department is proud to offer a wide range of courses which meet the needs and interests of our students. We attempt to take the “what” of the world and answer the “why?”
All graduates of Gray-New Gloucester High School are required to meet US History Standards and then encouraged to take one of the several additional offerings to attain proficiency in a wide area of Social Studies.
