Social Work Support Services

Our role as social workers at Gray New Gloucester High School is to provide social, emotional and mental health support to students grades 9-12. We can work with students on issues related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, peer conflict, substance use, and stress management. We collaborate with our Student Services Team to provide a multi-disciplinary approach with students, their families, teachers and administration.  Through this approach we are able to assist students with academic, social, emotional or behavioral functioning that may be hindering  their ability to benefit from the learning environment.

In addition, we can provide information and referrals for community based resources. There are many ways that we connect with students: referrals from  school counselors, administration, teachers, family or friends, and often the students themselves.

Please contact the Social Work Department by calling the high school at (207) 657-3323 if you have any questions.
