MSAD 15 supports the use of community volunteers to complement and enhance instructional programs and co-curricular activities. Volunteers work in partnership with, under the supervision of, and at the request of school administrators and staff.

The purposes of the volunteer program are to:

  • Assist teachers in providing more individualized instruction and enrichment opportunities for students;
  • Support staff with school projects;
  • Supervise or chaperone student activities (academic and athletically);
  • Perform clerical or preparatory tasks that help classrooms run smoothly;
  • Build understanding of and support for school programs among interested citizens; and
  • Strengthen school–community relationships.

MSAD 15 is fortunate to have many dedicated parents and community members who generously share their time, energy, and expertise in our schools. Whether reading with students, preparing materials, assisting with math practice, supporting athletics, or helping with a wide range of other meaningful tasks, volunteers play an essential role in enhancing teaching and learning. Their contributions help us better meet the diverse needs of all students.

Our volunteer program also serves as a bridge between our schools and the broader community. As we continue to grow this partnership, we aim to develop a mentorship network that allows community members to share their skills, passions, and experiences with students, enriching learning and deepening connections across the district.

Prospective volunteers must read the Volunteer Handbook and complete the application form attached below. Background checks are required for all prospective volunteers and must be approved before any volunteering can begin.
