Re: Early and Absentee Voting Available Now
The referendum for the revised MSAD 15 School Budget is on August 26, 2025, but Early and Absentee voting is open now!
What is Early Voting?
Early voting lets you vote before Election Day. You go to your town office and vote in person, just like on Election Day. It’s the same ballot and the same process – just on a different day. No special reason is required, anyone can vote early. Call or go to your town office during their normal business hours for more information and to request to vote early.
What is Absentee Voting?
Absentee voting lets you vote by mail when you can’t get to the polls on Election Day. You don’t need a special reason to request an absentee ballot. Absentee ballots can be requested now through Thursday, August 21, 2025, although exceptions to the request deadline can sometimes be made in extenuating circumstances. To be counted, ballots must be received back to the municipal clerk no later than 8:00 pm on August 26, 2025. Contact your town office for more information and to request an absentee ballot.
Regular Voting on Election Day
You can always vote the traditional way on Election Day.
For the School Budget Vote on Tuesday, August 26:
Gray residents: Vote at Newbegin Gym from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
New Gloucester residents: Vote at the Fire Station from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Whether early, absentee, or traditionally, please include voting on the revised school budget on your back-to-school preparation list.
