Re: District Budget Meeting 7-24-25
Last night, the MSAD 15 Board of Directors unanimously approved a revised budget proposal totaling $34,900,665 reducing the expense increase from 5.93% to 4.79%. The revised budget includes all the additions from the original proposal including an additional middle school special education teacher, funding for additional bus and vans, better radios for our buses, transportation software updates, and additional funding for facilities improvements.
In addition to reductions made in the original budget proposal (such as reducing 1.5 teachers, 5 ed techs, and part of a secretary position) the revised budget reduces expenses by using a private company for Paid Family Medical Leave, moving special education out-of-district placement costs to outside funding sources, reducing athletic and co-curricular budget to align with recent spending, reducing Superintendent salary budget, and adjusting health insurance budget to match recent spending trends.

All registered voters in Gray and New Gloucester are encouraged to attend and vote. Childcare will be provided. GNG High School’s Community Service Club will be there to help with the kids. Families can check their child in at the GNG High School Library beginning at 5:30. They will have games, activities, and snacks to keep the kids entertained while you participate in this important civic duty.
